End of January Update

Social Studies: The children have been building an understanding of different First Nations groups. We will soon be moving forward through Early-Canadian History to the period of contact between European explorers and Canadian First Nations.

Islamic Studies: The class has been looking at some key events in Islamic history after the Hijrah, focusing an in-depth study of Ghazawat ul Khandaq ("Battle of the Trench").

الأهالي الكرام,

السلام عليكم و رحمة اله و بركاته, و بعد,

تم بحمد الله الانتهاء من كتابة رسالة موجهة إلى أهالي الطلبة الكرام, و تم التعرف على الخطوات التالية المتبعة في مكتب البريد من خلال منهج اللغة العربية. و في الصورة يتضح إبداع الطلبة.

​أرجو متابعة أبنائنا الكرام في قراءة الدروس التي تم تغطيتها مسبقا و حاليا تحت إشراف الأهل, حرصا على ارتقاء مستوى الطالب/ـه في القراءة.

أود أيضا إضافة نصيحة للأهالي في حين توفر الوقت لديكم, محاولة تقوية الطالب/ـه في مهارة الكتابة , و ذلك بتملية مقاطع من المنهج أيضا, بدون النظر للكتاب.

أشكر جميع من شارك في إدخال الفرحة لقلوب أبنائنا الأعزاء, و قام بإرسال ما لذ و طاب من الأطباق. بارك الله فيكم

Welcome Back

As salamu Alaykum Dear Parents and Students.

Welcome back to school! It's so good to see all of you back and in good health in shaa Allah.

Here are some updates for this week.

Science
We introduced our new unit (Forces Acting on Structures) before the winter break, and we are currently working on understanding types and examples of forces and how they might affect structures around us.

Language Arts

Please be reminded that the Poetry Test for Grade 5A & 5B will be on Thursday, January 7, 2016.

We have been reviewing in class this week and all students have received a Review Sheet to study 

from.

Social Studies

We are learning about Canada's History. We have started learning more about Canadian First Nations.

Islamic Studies

Unit review activities for Prophets and Salat.
